| Fires Burn High:
1) When a fire is lit in nature, it cannot be covered up. No amount of asking, pleading, or any sort of media attention will make the fire slow its burning. No matter what people say about the fire, no matter how hard they try to cover the fact that it is there, the fire still burns high until something real, like water or lack of oxygen, puts it out.
In the same sense, when something affects the world or people in it, it is a real issue. Although politicians, religious leaders, even just people on the streets every day might pretend it doesn't exist, or will underestimate its seriousness, it is still there. No amount of skewed media attention or twisted stories about said problem will actually help the people trying to live with it. The fire will still burn high.
Wars, genocides, human rights violations, animal cruelty crimes, more. They are all real issues. Someone needs to step up and suffocate the fire.
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." -Mahatma Ghandi
